Purple Table Initiative
Connecting Families to Safety, Support, and Next Steps
The Purple Table Initiative is a community-based access point designed to help individuals and families take the first step toward safety, support, and stability.
Rather than asking families to navigate complex systems on their own, Purple Tables create visible, trusted spaces throughout the community where people can easily connect to resources, ask questions, and begin accessing services.

What Is a Purple Table?
A Purple Table is a designated space located within trusted community settings—such as courthouses, service agencies, libraries, and partner organizations—where individuals can access information and support related to:
Domestic violence and family safety
Supervised visitation and safe exchanges
Foster, kinship, and family support resources
Community-based services and referrals
Each location serves as a simple but powerful entry point—removing barriers, reducing confusion, and making support more accessible when it’s needed most.
Why It Matters
Families in crisis often face overwhelming systems, long wait times, and uncertainty about where to turn.
The Purple Table Initiative helps bridge that gap by:
Creating clear, local entry points for help
Strengthening coordination between agencies and partners
Supporting earlier intervention and safer outcomes
Expanding access to services in rural communities
This initiative is especially critical in communities where services may be limited, spread out, or difficult to navigate.
How It Works
Purple Tables are not standalone programs—they are part of a connected system of care.
Through this initiative, Sotera works alongside community partners to:
Provide accessible information and referral pathways
Connect families directly to services such as supervised visitation
Support coordinated responses in domestic violence and high-conflict family situations
Ensure families are not navigating systems alone
Each Purple Table is supported by trained staff, partner collaboration, and clear pathways to follow-up services.
Our Role
Sotera Youth & Family Services serves as a connector—helping bring together community partners, resources, and services to ensure families can access support in a safe and coordinated way.
Through the Purple Table Initiative, we are working to:
Expand access to supervised visitation and family support services
Strengthen collaboration with local and regional partners
Build a more connected, responsive system for children and families
Community Partnership
The success of the Purple Table Initiative depends on strong partnerships.
We are proud to collaborate with community agencies to ensure families receive the support they need.
Together, we are creating a more coordinated, accessible network of care.
Get Involved
We are actively expanding the Purple Table Initiative and seeking additional community partners.
